As CEO, Matt is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organisation. He reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

ALAN GRAHAM
Technical Specialist
Alan designs and manages a wide range of river restoration and enhancement projects across the Trent catchment. Alan specialises in the design and construction of Natural Flood Management (NFM) measures.

EMMA SMAIL
River Mease Project Manager
Emma manages river restoration and phosphate reduction projects in the Mease catchment; has experience in catchment advice (FACTS certified), agricultural research and ecological surveying.

JULIE WOZNICZKA
Senior Project Manager
Julie’s river interests include fluvial geomorphology and citizen science. She manages several projects for the TRT including ‘the River Starts Here’.

RUTH NEEDHAM
Senior Catchment Manager (West)
Ruth is an aquatic ecologist specialising in ecology, wetlands, flood risk management and hydromorphology. Ruth develops and leads many high profile projects including SuDS schemes and the Trent Valley Way.

DR JOSH WELLS
Project Manager
Josh leads on technical aspects of natural flood management and river restoration for TRT. He has a background in hydrology and fluvial geomorphology.

TINA BARDILL
Rural Catchment Project Officer
Tina provides environmental advice and support to farmers and landowners, focusing principally on the Dove and Derwent catchments. She also coordinates the Dove Catchment Partnership.

KIM JENNINGS
Senior Catchment Manager (East)
Kim is an ecologist specialising in freshwater ecology and river restoration. Kim has extensive experience of weir removal schemes, catchment level assessments and developing restoration plans.

GAIL PICKLES
Engagement Officer (RSH)
Gail, a water ecologist and health and wellbeing practitioner, will support TRT’s work to improve water quality by working with local people and businesses to think and engage with their rivers differently.
