Discover the Trent Valley Way in Stoke-on-Trent

From now until March 2025, we’ll be creating a safe, attractive and more accessible walking route through Stoke-on-Trent, thanks to nearly £190,000 from the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund. We will provide interpretation along the route, as well as a range of circular walks suitable for all abilities. We will also deliver local activities designed to educate, engage and energise people about the River Trent, to improve the wellbeing of local people and the river.

Want to get involved? We’d love to hear from you! See below to get in touch with us – or join one of our forthcoming events and activities. When we finalise work on the route and circular walks, you will also be able to download routes here.

Free event: Join the Trent Valley Way Relay

Join us on the FREE Trent Valley Way Relay on Father’s Day, Sunday 16th of June.

The Trent Valley Way Relay is open to anyone who would like to walk, run or jog through the city and find out more about the Trent Valley Way, a long-distance walking route which will follows the river Trent from source to sea.

Three relay legs will take place through the city. The baton will be handed over at Hanley Park, the Bet365 Stadium and World of Wedgwood, with free family activities for all also on offer from 11am-1pm at the Bet365 Stadium.

The event has been organised by Trent Rivers Trust, in conjunction with Running Out of Time, a national relay event that will see the baton passed from Ben Nevis to Big Ben, calling for action on climate change.

While free, booking is essential. Find out more via the link below.
