The ‘Transforming the Trent Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme’ has been awarded delivery money from the ‘Heritage Fund’, formerly the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The ‘Transforming the Trent Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme’ is now being delivered starting from 2019 until 2023. The aim is to  enhance the Trent Valley from Shardlow in Derbyshire to Wolseley Bridge in Staffordshire. The long term aim for the project is to create a river valley supporting a thriving wildlife population with a wealth of visitor attractions linked to a healthy natural environment.

The main focus of the work undertaken by Trent Rivers Trust is the Trent Valley Way. The Trent Valley Way weaves its way through the project area connecting places of cultural, historic and natural interest alongside the River Trent. Once completed, the Trent Valley Way will form a popular tourist attraction.

A map of the whole of the Trent Valley Way within the TTTV project area is available by clicking here.

Below are the maps showing the proposed route for the Trent Valley Way within the project area. As well as the main Trent Valley Way, there are also a series of circular and linear routes connected to the main path taking in other points of interest and visitor attractions close to the River Trent. These routes are still draft, and are subject to change as the project develops.

Maps for the remainder of the TVW outside of the TTTV area in Staffordshire and downstream into Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire are available on our main TVW page.
